A minha única solução?

How awesome life can be? I don't know how I still wonder that...
My life has changed again... I hope it doesn't return to worse. What do I mean by that?Well, it's very "easy" to explain. The cancer in the spine has increased again and is "eating" the vertebrae. That means I've been bedridden for almost two weeks on the IPO, because I can be paraplegic. Only ealking can break my spine and leave me incapacitades for the rest of my life.
My only solution? A vest (anti-bullets as I ussualy call it) that will immobilize my spine so there is no risk of my life. It is uncomfortable and has an iron in the middle of my breasts that doesn't allow me to use necklines :( but I prefer this to wheelchair for the rest of my life and depend on others. I hate to depend on others.
How horrible can my life be?
On the other hand, I had a good day yesterday ... I was very happy. The day was filled with good and unexpected visits. I had the "IPO gang" - composed by me, Mauro, David, Francisco and Venâncio (although Venancio was not present).
I know, I know - just boys Bia !! It's not my fault that by now I was the only girl with cancer at my age (though two more girls have appeared but are not yet part of the Gang). Then I received the visit of my mother, grandmother Cristina, Aunt Nélica and also my dear nurse Ariana (my nurse in England) and her mother. The beautiful sister is always present every day and I love <3. It was a day full of laughter and antics and of course much talk. At night Mauro, Alda (Mauro's mother), the sister and I played a "Sueca". It was very cool. I think this day served to soften my pain a little.
Yesterday was the day to receive another sad news ... Rita, a 30 year old girl I met at the IPO, died ... I was shocked and deeply sad. The last time I saw her, on her birthday, she was so "good" and happy to be surrounded by the ones she loved the most (even though she was in the hospital) - knowing her death moved me. I feel I should have been there for her. I was at the IPO the day she died and yet I did not even know she was here. Rich friend that I am !!! If you hear me, or feel, I just want to say Rita, I'm sorry. I'm sorry I was not there for you, to support you and make you smile. I'm so sorry! I also wanted to thank you for giving me your friendship and your love. For teaching me how to paint on sketchbooks. For being who you are and do not give up, Thank you for that. If I knew that your life would be so short I would have been there for you. How life can change so fast ... I really like you Rita and you'll always be in my heart <3
Well, but enough for today. Until next time!
